Our club has several service projects in motion! We hope you can join us in giving back to our community through the opportunities below.
Shoes for Orphan Soles - ongoing service project. We are collecting donations of shoes to donate when the Shoes for Orphan Soles truck comes. You can purchase shoes HERE.
Adopt a Family/Resource Health - We have adopted 3 families through Resource Health for Christmas. Shop the families' wish lists HERE. We will wrap gifts at our December 10th Christmas Party.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing - December 13th at Hyvee. Sign up sheet will be available at our weekly meetings. SPOTS ARE LIMITED!!
CSL Christmas Store - December 11th & 12th in Independence. More information to come.

Board Spotlight
Melissa Winston
Melissa Winston is a wife, mom of two college age sons, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and a mental health group practice owner. A native of Parsons, Kansas, Melissa found her way to the Kansas City metro area by way of her work in the mental health field. She became involved in Rotary while serving in Joplin shortly following the tornado and found the network of passionate individuals working together to achieve more together was powerful in Joplin's forward progress after such devastation. In coming to KC, she knew that getting connected to the people who believed in service above self was a top priority in order to be a difference maker in her new home. Melissa became involved with the board in efforts to be more helpful in the important work happening, as she brought many years of experience in nonprofit leadership but wanted to join forces with other leaders in the area who were already doing good work. Melissa is a self-proclaimed "techie" and helps with many of the back end logistics that make the club run as the Club Administrator. She is a firm believer in the power of working together for change, and she is honored to be a part of the Blue Springs Rotary Club!
